OFF-CAMPUS ACCESS
Although you must come to the library for some materials and
services, the Missouri Western State University library gives
students, faculty and staff off-campus access to several key
resources and services.
TOWERS: Online Library Catalog

Towers is a group of Northwest Missouri libraries
within the MOBIUS library consortium. The Towers Library Catalog
is an on-line public access catalog that includes the collections
of the following Missouri libraries: Conception Abbey,
Missouri Western State University, North Central Missouri College,
Northwest Missouri State University, and the National Military
Heritage Museum.
With the Towers catalog you can:
- Search the Missouri Western
State Library catalog using keyword, title, author, subject,
and numeric searches.
- View your library account (view items you have checked out, renew items, and place holds
on items).
- Save common searches and repeat them in
the future.
- Search the library catalog from any computer
with access to the Internet.
- Search the library catalogs of
over 60 Missouri academic libraries at one time.
Proxy Server Databases & E Books
Most of the
MWSU library electronic resources are
available off campus through ezproxy
authentication. When logging into a
database from off campus, you will first
be prompted for your email address and
password before linking to the
database.
Note: IIMP: Index to Music Periodicals
is not availabale off campus.

After verifying that the MWSU library does
not carry the requested items, you can use the above links to
request resources from other libraries to be sent directly to
the MWSU library. There is no charge for this service.
You will be notified when your items are available.
You must pick up the items at the library.

Videos of Distance Education Classes
If you are taking a video course, then you can
come to the library to view a session if you have a problem video-recording
it. The videos can only be viewed in the library. Ask at the
circulation desk for assistance.
